Description:
Kites are very much a part of our indigenous traditions. Every year on November 1st, we celebrate the "Day of the Dead". Beautifully decorated huge kites, that may measure up to 15 feet across, are flown to carry the souls of the dead to Heaven. A great deal of realism has been achieved in this rendering, by the careful placement of light and dark fabrics that suggest sunshine and shadow.
